I'm a self-taught, natural light photographer based in Michigan who loves meeting new people and going on adventures.
I want us to tell your story, together.
Anyone can take your picture, and a lot of photographers can make some beautiful portraits. But I want something more. I want people to look at my photos and feel the emotion in them. As creepy as it sounds, I actually love taking pictures of people when they're not watching. Ha! I do, though. It's seriously the best. You get raw, unedited emotion when you photograph someone who isn't looking. But I'm not always so stealthy! I like to ask questions and get involved, make you laugh and laugh along with you. I want you to feel comfortable to be yourself around me.
If you've taken a look around, enjoyed what you've seen so far, you're probably ready to get to know me a little better. My name is Jessica and I've been married to my husband, Scott, since May 2015. Aside from my husband, our beautiful daughter, and our dogs(okay, ALL dogs), nothing makes me happier than taking pictures. It is truly the best job in the world. I get to meet new people, hear their stories-oh the stories! While I love seeing the love and emotion between people, hearing their story melts my heart. There's nothing better than a genuine, sappy love story. I'm smiling just thinking about it!
"We are all a little weird and life’s a little weird, and when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness and call it love."
I have to be honest with you. This feels a little one-sided. I've told you all about me, and still don't know a thing about you! So send me a message, or a text, or better yet, let's meet for coffee. You can tell me all about yourself and your partner, your kids, your pets, your first grade teacher. I'll sit there wide-eyed, soaking it all in, relishing in the little details. Haha, I'm smiling again! I can't help it. I want to hear your story. More than that, I want to help you tell your story to whomever will listen, through emotionally styled art. Now who's smiling?
